The English Beat - Mirror In The Bathroom The Pixies - Monkey Gone To Heaven Joe Strummer - War Cry === 8:00 - Connections 1 Yaz - Bad Connection Yaz was Allison "Alf" Moyet and Vince Clarke. Vince Clarke is now in Erasure with Andy Bell. Erasure - Star Before Erasure and Yaz, Vince Clarke was in Depeche Mode. Depeche Mode - Flexible One of the members of Depeche Mode, Alan Wilder, is now in his own solo prject, "Recoil". Recoil - The Defector The track "Faith Healer" by Recoil features Douglas Mccarthy of Nitzer Ebb Nitzer Ebb - Lightning Man === Connections 2 Elastica - Generator When "Annie", the bassist for Elastica left the band in the mid '90s, they replaced her for touring with Abby somethingorother, who later was in KMFDM for an album. KMFDM - Light (Fat Back Dub) This remix of Light was done by Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails. Nine Inch Nails - Kinda I Want To (Demo) Trent, before (or during?) doing the NIN thing, was in Pigface for a little bit, where he wrote the track "Suck". Pigface - Cutting Face Also in Pigface, but at a different time (the time that Cutting Face was recorded more or less, for the album "Fook") was Leslie Rankine, who is in "Ruby" with Mark Walk. (there is also a direct connection between KMFDM and Pigface, but i'm ignoring that for now.) Ruby - Tiny Meat After Ruby became established... Tom Jones (featuring Ruby) - Kung Fu Fighting Ruby teamed up with Tom Jones for this track, found on the Supercop soundtrack. === Connections 3 Anne Dudley - The Lunchbox has Landed Anne Dudley put together the soundtrack for "The Full Monty", and wrote and orchestrated this track. Back in the '80s, she was in The Art Of Noise. (One of my favorite bands, btw.) Art Of Noise - Dragnet Art Of Noise was also piloted by (amongst people) JJ Jeczalik. (that's pronounced "yencharlik", btw). After the split up of AON, JJ went off to do his own thing. In the mid '90s, he released some techno/trance/ ambient stuff under the name "The Art Of Silence". Good luck trying to find it now. Art Of Silence - West 4 JJ, back in the mid '80s, and still now, is very good in the studio, producing and remixing. He remixed Stephen "Tin Tin" Duffy's 1983 dance club hit "Kiss Me", which was re-released in 1985. Stephen "Tin Tin" Duffy - Kiss Me (1985 version) It's been rumored that Stephen Duffy was also in Duran Duran, for a little while early on in DD's career. Duran Duran - Union Of The Snake The name of the band, "Duran Duran" is the name of the astronaut that Barbarella is looking for in the movie "Barbarella" Erasure - Sweet Sweet Baby (Medi Mix) This Erasure tune uses samples of a British Speak-And-Spell, along with samples from the movie "Barbarella". "Attention; Set your atom transmitter at 0-3-5" "Hello... Pretty Pretty" Depeche Mode - Strangelove (Midi Mix) There's no real connection here, i just got reminded of "Midi Mix" from the above's "Medi Mix". Okay, it's kinda weak. Sue me. === 9:20 - Top Secret Soundtrack Nick Rivers - Skeet Surfing Nick Rivers - Are You Lonesome Tonight Nick Rivers - How Silly Can You Get Nick Rivers - Straighten Out The Rug Nick Rivers - Tutti Fruitti Nick Rivers - Spend This Night With Me === Misc.
