Somehow, I doubt Lego had this in mind when they made their Squid...

This was difficult to photograph, so there are a lot of similar images; hopefully enough so you can understand his construction...

Construction details

It might be kinda hard to see, but cthulu is composed of a squid (mine is from a '98 underwater folks pack.) with some clear red dots for eyes. That is mounted on a 2x2 flat/swivel piece, and then onto a blue hinge. I would have used a black hinge, but I didn't have one.

All of that is mounted on an old upper chest from an old big lego guy. (with flame bits put in his hands for good measure.) The wings are the bright orange glowy wings from a dragon, mounted on little arm-like thingys.

I couldn't think of a good way to make a cape, so I just piled bricks into a cape-like structure...
