All movies were made with a Connectix Parallel Quick Cam connected to an IBM Thinkpad 760 (Pentium 133) running Linux. Images were grabbed with the 'cqcam' program, and then converted to jpeg image files using 'convert' from the Image Magick toolkit. Movies were then created from these jpeg files using Quicktime Pro 6.
On average, there were around 1700 images using roughly 18 megs of space per day. For the full-day time-lapse movies, one image was taken roughly every 40 seconds, then converted to a 30fps movie. The shorter days and other films were taken at a rate of about one frame per 5 or 15 seconds. The second and third film from the 17th are at 12fps instead of 30fps.
Quicktime 6 is required to view these movies
